Software Consultant
Shaun Wu
Shaun has acquired over a decade of experience in the development of secure products and technologies. With several years of experience in the payments industry, and as a member of Visa’s Product Platforms team that brought EMV (Chip) and NFC (Contactless) technologies to the Canadian market, he possesses a unique understanding of frontline payment technologies and networks that support them. While at Interac, he helped write Interac’s e-Transfer International Remittance API specification, as well as played an instrumental role in the architecture and design of Interac’s concept for mobile debit payments. In 2013, he designed and developed the demo mobile app upon which Interac based its mobile proof of concept with MacDonalds and Royal Bank of Canada. See Article.
In 2014, Shaun left Interac to focus on Thng Studios Inc., and has since architected and overseen the development of a variety of web and mobile projects relating to healthcare, on-demand services, crowd-funding, social networking, and game development; including HippoMD, the first mobile app in Canada to dispatch doctors to neighbourhoods in Toronto.
While not working on Thng Studios, Shaun is a husband and father who enjoys powerlifting, writing music, drawing and woodworking.

Aby Das
Aby has 10+ years of experience in the payments and security industry. He was a member of the R&D team at SecureKey that contributed to the OpenID connect spec and helped write one of the initial JSON Web Token implementations. While at Interac, he played an integral role in the design and development of Interac’s mobile payment offerings.
In his free time, Aby enjoys biking and reading.
